Located in Calgary, Heritage Park is a living history museum that displays the historical lives of those who lived in Western Canada across multiple generations of residents. On-site, the Selkirk Restaurant provides hungry guests with a fresh and inspired menu from specialties across Canada. With an excellent bar on-site, you can sip cocktails on a patio overlooking the 1930’s-style town square.

Spanning 127-acres, Heritage Park is comprised of three sections:

Gasoline Alley Museum

The Gasoline Alley Museum is a two-story museum that tells the tale of the automobile in Canada. It features a beautiful collection of vintage gasoline pumps, signage, vehicles, and other industry artifacts. Several highlights of the Gasoline Alley Museum include automobile exhibitions such as the 1905 Brush Model B Runabout, 1911 Auto-Delivery Wagon, 1923 International Truck, 1933 Diamond T Brewery Truck, 1940 Hudson Traveler Four-Door Sedan, and 1949 Motorized Bike.

Heritage Park Historical Village

The Heritage Park Historical Village showcases life between the 1860s through the 1930s. Costumed actors bring the history of the Canadian West to life in an interactive working village. Guests are privy to various activities, including a sail on the S.S. Moyie paddle wheeler across the Glenmore Reservoir, an authentic steam train trip, and take a spin on the antique midway. Since it is outdoors, the Historical Village is open from late May to mid-October. Within the Historical Village, guests can experience three areas: 1860s Fur Trading Fort, 1880s Pre-railroad Settlement, and a 1910 Prairie Railway Town. Each section depicts life as it once was and features the various garb and housing details of the period. When purchasing a ticket, the Historical Village and Gasoline Alley Museum are included in the price.

Heritage Town Square

The Heritage Town Square section features various unique shops, the upscale but casual Selkirk Grille, and the Railway Café for a quick bite. This district is located outside the park gates, so no park admission is required to enjoy. The Heritage Town Square is open throughout the year.
